Deaths in Laois - December 12, 2017

Jennifer Gill - Rathdowney and Portlaoise

The death took place on Monday, December 11 of Jennifer Gill (née Lanham) of Bealady, Rathdowney, and formerly Marian Avenue, Portlaoise.

Suddenly. Deeply regretted by by her loving sons Shane and Ross, daughter Lauren, partner Declan Brophy, mother Maura, grandchildren, sisters, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, brothers-in-law, aunt, uncle, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at her mother's residence, Marian Avenue, Portlaoise, from 12 noon on Wednesday, with rosary recital at 8pm. Removal on Thursday morning to arrive at SS Peter and Paul's Church, Portlaoise for 10am requiem Mass. Interment afterwards in Bealady Cemetery, Rathdowney.

Valerie Watson - Errill

The death took place on Sunday, December 10 of Valerie Watson of St. Anthony's, Errill. 

Peacefully at Tullamore Hospital. Sadly missed by her husband Russ and her son Tony and her daughter Julie, daughter in law Fiona, grandchildren Sarah and Catherine and Chloe and great-granddaughter Lola and all her friends in Errill.

Reposing at her home St. Anthony's, Errill from 2pm on Tuesday evening. Memorial prayers in Errill church on Wednesday at 11.30am followed by cremation at Newlands Dublin arriving at 2pm. 

Anthony Christopher Marnell - Mountmellick and Dublin 

The death took place on Sunday, December 10 of Anthony Christopher Marnell of Clonterry, Mountmellick and formerly of Dublin. 

Unexpectedly. Predeceased by his loving son David. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Deirdre, son Tony, daughters Michelle and Audrey, daughter-in-law Bernadette, sons-in-law Trevor and Willie, sister Ann Canning, brother-in-law Ray, nieces and nephews, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Reposing in Moloney's Funeral Home, Mountmellick, on Wednesday from 4.30pm, removal at 5.50pm to St. Joseph's Church, Mountmellick, arriving at 6pm. Requiem Mass on Thursday at 12 noon. Cremation after in Newlands Crematorium at 2.30pm. 

William Dann - Borris-in-Ossory

The death took place on Sunday, December 10 of William (Bill) Dann of Shanboe, Borris-in-Ossory.

Peacefully in the loving care of the staff at the Rivervale Nursing Home, Nenagh. In his 100th. year. Predeceased by his wife Nancy. Deeply regretted by his daughter Nancy, son in law Noel, grandchildren Conor and his wife Samantha, Mark and his wife Serena, great-grandchildren Isabelle and Adam, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives, neighbours and his many friends.

Funeral arriving at St. Mark's Church, Borris in Ossory on Tuesday evening for prayers at 7.30pm. Funeral Service on Wednesday at 2pm with burial immediately afterwards in Skeirke cemetery.

Elizabeth Dunne - Vicarstown

The death took place on Saturday, December 9 of Elizabeth (Lil) Dunne (née O'C0nnell) Of Moyanna, Vicarstown.

Predeceased by her husband Michael (Mick). Deeply regretted by her daughters Nuala, Angela, Catherine and her son Michael, brother Michael, grandchildren, great grandchildren, daughter-in-law, sons-in-law, cousins, relatives and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at her residence this Sunday evening from 8pm with rosary at 9pm. Removal on Monday to the Church of the Assumption, Vicarstown, arriving at 7.30pm. Funeral Mass on Tuesday at 11am followed by burial in Moyanna Cemetery.

Patricia Cunningham - Portarlington

The death took place on Saturday, December 9 of Patricia (Dubbie) CUnningham (née Orange) of Station Road, Portarlington.

Peacefully at her residence. Sadly missed by her loving husband Don, family Jane, Luke, Mary, Donal and Petal, grandchildren Amy, Jimmy, D.J.,Addie, Jenny, Lucy, Caleb and Finn, brothers Paddy, Martin and Ciaran, sister Luby, daughter-in-law Fiona, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at her residence on Sunday from 2pm with Rosary at 8pm. Removal on Monday at 11:30am arriving St Michael's church Portarlington for Requiem Mass at 12:30pm Funeral afterwards to St Michael's cemetery Portarlington.
