Peacefully at home in the presence of his family. Predeceased by his wife Ann, sons Thomas and Paul. Deeply regretted by his son Stephen, brother John, sisters Maureen and Vangeline, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

The death took place on Wednesday, November 30 of Margaret Bergin (née Fitzpatrick) of Mill House Boley, Abbeyleix.
Peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her father Johnny and brother James. Beloved wife of Jimmy and much loved mother of James, John and Owen. Reposing at her home from 6pm this Friday and Saturday concluding with prayers at 8 pm. House private at all other times please. Removal on Sunday to St. Brigid's Church, Shanahoe for 12 noon Requiem Mass. Burial afterwards in St. Brigid's Cemetery.
Teresa Sharkey - Mountrath
The death took place on Wednesday, November 30 of Teresa Sharkey (née Nicholas) formerly of Pound Street, Newport, Co. Tipperary, Cappanuke, Cappamore, Co. Limerick and Mountrath.
Peacefully at St. Vincent’s Community Nursing Unit, Mountmellick. Beloved wife of the late Peter and loving grandmother of the late Sean. Sadly missed by her loving daughter Caroline and son Stephen, son in law David, daughter in law Maria, grandchildren Aisling, Grace, Cormac and Daniel, brothers Jimmy and Pat, sisters Irene, Bridie, Bernadette and Angela, nephews, nieces, extended family, relatives and friends.
Reposing at Meehan’s Funeral Home Newport, Co. Tipperary on Monday 5th December from 5.30pm to 7pm followed by removal to the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer Newport. Requiem Mass on Tuesday 6th at 11.30am which can be viewed on www.churchcamlive.ie/newport . Burial afterwards in Rockvale cemetery Newport.

Patrick Deffew - Mountmellick
The death took place on Wednesday, November 30 of Patrick (Pad) Deffew of 13 Twoomey Park, Mountmellick.
Retired Staff of St. Brigids Hospital Shaen, Portlaoise. Predeceased by his parents PJ and Nan, son Vincent, brother Leo and sister Mary. Sadly missed by his wife Lucy, sons Philip and Joe, daughters Lorraine and Patrice, his sisters Nora Brennan and Rita Lewis, sons in law, daughters in law, grandchildren, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Reposing in his home on Thursday from 6pm, Recital of the Rosary at 9pm. Removal from his home on Friday morning at 10.15am to St. Joseph's Church, Mountmellick for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial after in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Mountmellick.
John Hogan - Abbeyleix
The death took place on Wednesday, November 30 of John Hogan of Blackhill, Oldtown, Abbeyleix.
After a short illness. Predeceased by his wife Kitty. Deeply regretted by his daughter Elizabeth, sons Tom, John and Dehon, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives and friends.
Reposing in the Church of The Most Holy Rosary on Thursday from 5pm, with prayers at 6pm. Requiem Mass on Friday at 11am in The Church of the Most Holy Rosary, Abbeyleix. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
Mary McElwee - Killenard
The death took place on Wednesday, November 30 of Mary McElwee (née Daly, Tyrrellspass) of Carezza, No 2 Mount Henry Close, The Heritage at Killenard.
Peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff of St Vincent’s Private and University Hospitals Dublin, surrounded by her loving husband Jim, children Peter, Maria, James, Richard and Rozamond, sister Ursula, brothers Terry and Oliver. Hugely missed also by grandchildren Reuben, Juliette, Samuel and Jeremy, daughters and sons in law, Ian, Shumon, Dorothy, Dermot and Fiona, niece Caroline and nephew William, sisters in law, brothers in law, and extended family and amazingly close friends.
Mary will repose in Rozamond and Dermot’s home, No 1 Mount Henry Drive, Killenard, Co.Laois from 6pm Thursday, 1st of December. Removal (house private) on Friday 2nd December, to arrive at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Mountmellick for 6pm. Requiem Mass on Saturday, 3rd of December, at 11am, before Mary is brought to her resting place in Killenard.
Maureen Templey - Emo
The death has has taken place of Maureen Templey (née Byrne) of Killimy, Emo.
At St James' Hospital, Dublin.

Gerald Stone - Luggacurren
The death took place on Wednesday, November 30 of Gerald Stone of Scotland and Luggacurren.
Peacefully at Midlands Hospital, Portlaoise, in his 94th year. Pre-deceased by his wife Annie (Taylor) and his brother Desmond. Much loved father of Geraldine (Persse), John and Rachel (Harding). He will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his son, daughters, his 12 grandchildren, especially Gemma, Jessica and Ben, his 6 great-grandchildren, his brother Bertie, daughter-in-law, sons-in-law,nephews, nieces, sisters-in-law, family circle, friends, neighbours and carers.
Reposing at his home on Friday, ( Eircode; R32R2R2). Funeral Service on Saturday at his home at 1pm followed by burial in Cross Hill Cemetery, Castlecomer.
John Scales - Castletown
The death took place on Sunday, November 27 of John Scales of Old Borris, Castletown, and formerly of Doolin, Co. Clare.
Suddenly, at his home. Predeceased by his brother Thomas and sister Cathleen. Deeply regretted and will be sadly missed by his loving wife Joan, sons Michael, John, Anthony and Patrick, daughters Joanna, Mary, Jacqueline and Claire, sisters Mary, Helen and Jane, sister in law Margaret, grandaughter Caitlin, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.
Reposing in Guilfoyle's Funeral Home, Castletown, Eircode R32 TN84 this Wednesday evening from 6pm with rosary in the funeral home at 8pm. Funeral Mass this Thursday at 12 noon in St. Edmund's Church, Castletown followed by interment in St. Fintan's Cemetery, Mountrath.
