Electric Picnic issues warning over dangerous ecstacy pills

The Electric Picnic has issued a warning in relation to high strength ecstasy tablets in circulation onsite in Stradbally.
Organisers said on day one of the festival: “HSE Ireland lab on-site has identified Mybrand Purple skull pills, which is approximately two times the average dose.”
Laois Gardai confirmed it had received details about the drug circulating. However, they added that no reports of people falling ill had yet been received.
Nevertheless, the organisers and the HSE are advising picnicers to exercise caution.
The HSE is running a pilot programme at the Electric Picnic to test for illegal drugs.
