Irish Comedian Dara Ó Briain admitted his plans for a relaxed afternoon slot at the Electric Picnic with no headline competition have gone seriously awry.

In a post on X the comedian said: “So, the plan for @EPfestival then; get a lovely, relaxed mid-afternoon slot, and sure, you won’t be up against anything too high-profile, or noisy, or energetic, that the entire world, including you, is dying to see.”

Irish rap act Kneecap are expected to draw large crowds when they perform on the Main Stage on Saturday from 3.30 to 4.30pm. Their show clashes with the Irish comic who is performing in the Comedy Arena between 3.30 and 4.05pm.

His post about the clash on the app X has been viewed over half a million times.
