Occupational therapist to host sensory workshop for Laois parents

A charity has announced that they will hold a sensory workshop with a talk an occupational therapist for parents of children with additional needs.

All Abilities is a nationwide charity supporting parents of children with autism, dyslexia, ADHD & dyspraxia.

Their upcoming Portlaoise sensory workshop and talk with an occupational therapist will take place on Thursday November 20 at 10am in the Parish Centre.

"Roll up your sleeves in this sensory workshop, get messy, get creative and learn how playful activities can help your child manage big emotions!" organisers said.

The workshop will focus on emotional regulation and sensory issues.

All Abilities are delighted to promote a specialist parent event in Portlaoise, where you will learn occupational therapy and communicational tips from the experts.

"Don't miss this chance to to take part in this two part fun workshop where you will gain valuable insight into neurodiversity, empower yourself with practical tips to support emotional challenges & sensory issues, for children 5-12yrs," the charity said.

The group encourage parents to take the chance to connect with other parents over a cup of tea.

All Abilities Ireland are looking for volunteers to help provide more support for parents and creative classes for kids with Autism, Dyslexia, ADHD & Dyspraxia in Laois.
