'It is lovely to represent Laois' two local Operation Transformation docs on call

Dr Sumi Dunne and Dr Eddie Murphy, experts for season 16 of RTÉ's Operation Transformation

Operation Transformation has a huge Laois slant this year, and its not only the cameras and a local leader.
Two of the show's medical experts are also from Laois.

General Practitioner Dr Sumi Dunne and Psychologist Dr Eddie Murphy are both living and working in Portarlington.
Dr Sumi is making her fifth annual appearance on the series.

The London native and mother of four is married to well-known auctioneer and estate agent Matt Dunne.

“It’s fantastic to have OT in Laois. Over the years the people of Laois have followed and supported OT in so many ways, it is lovely for me to now represent Laois in Laois”

“I am delighted to be involved with series 16 of Operation Transformation. It will be a fantastic 8 weeks.

“We have super leaders whom we have the privilege of getting to know and accompanying them on their journey to wellness and health. A special honour also to be in Co. Laois – particularly as it is my home county,” she said.

Author and HSE Clinical Psychologist, Dr Eddie Murphy lives in Portarlington with his wife and two sons.

“I am very excited to be involved for my 13th Year, promoting mental health and wellbeing in all its facets including promoting the authentic self, positive psychology and ensuring wellbeing for the head and the heart,” he said.

‘I am overjoyed that Laois, my home county is our home for 2023 - the blue zone in the heart of Ireland,’ he added.

The show airs every Wednesday from January 4 for eight weeks at 21:35 on RTÉ One.
