Funding secured for Perry’s font

Councillor John King has secured funding of €4,000 to repair the antique Perry’s font at The Square, Rathdowney.

Cllr King mentioned the long tradition of brewing in the town and the importance of the font as a feature of its heritage.

“Rathdowney is a fine town,” said Cllr King.
