Donie Brennan and his Laois' ladies side face a daunting trip to Armagh on Sunday as they battle it out at the Athletic Grounds.
Armagh sit top of the table and are the only undefeated side in this year's Division 2 having won all four games to date. Meanwhile, for Laois, they've a productive campaign to date. Their only defeat coming at the hands of Westmeath, who were relegated from the Senior Championship last year. The Lake County firing in seven goals as Laois were defeated in Round 2.
Laois have recovered well since the drubbing against Westmeath and come into this game off the back of single-point victories over Tyrone and Tipperary respectively. The O'Moore outfit will have ear-marked this game from early on as the game that could defy whether their promotion push is successful or not.
The scrapping of semi-finals in the ladies National League this season leaves sides with less latitude to drop points so Laois can't afford to take their foot off the pedal. Although the switch to a straight final has left less margin for error, the return to a full fixture list this season after the regionalised groups of the past two years has been a welcome change of format from a Laois perspective.
The game throws in at 4pm on Sunday while tickets can be bought HERE. Laois v Armagh can also be viewed on the LGFA's streaming service.
