Laois footballer named in Ladies Football's Rising Stars team

There is a Laois representative on this year's Ladies Football Higher Education Championship Rising Stars team. The Yoplait Rising Stars recognise the efforts of players in the fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh tier competitions.

Ellen Donoghue from Ballyroan was named at number four on the team after her college University of Galway won the Lagan Cup Final. She was a member of the Laois Minor panel in 2021 who won the Leinster Ladies Minor ‘B’ Football Championship after defeating Louth in the final.

Ellen will receive her award on Friday March 31 at The Bonnington Dublin Hotel.
