IN PICTURES: Laois GAA clubs compete in Leinster while club championships come to an end

At the weekend we saw the three winners from the Laois GAA Football Championships begin their Leinster campaigns. St Joseph's were in action in Leinster for the first time since 2000 when they faced off against Eire Og of Carlow. Unfortunately, they came out on the wrong side of the result after extra-time. Ballylinan and Annanough were victorious in their Leinster games as they took on Mullinavat and St Mullins respectively.

Meanwhile inside the county, Portlaoise will play Senior Hurling in 2024 after their nine-point victory over Ballyfin while Colt-Shanahoe prevailed over Trumera in the Intermediate Hurling replay. Photographer Denis Byrne captured the action from the games in Stradbally and Portlaoise while Paul Dargan traveled to Carlow to capture St Joseph's and Annanough in action.
