The Laois Senior hurlers are set to get their Division 1B campaign underway against Westmeath in Mullingar on Saturday. New manager Tommy Fitzgerald has named his 26-man matchday panel for his debut as Laois boss.
Laois' full-back line sees a complete reshuffle with Padraig Dunne, Lee Cleere and Donnchadh Hartnett coming into defence in place of Ian Shanahan, Ryan Mullaney and Diarmuid Conway. This trio started June's crushing Joe McDonagh Cup final defeat to Offaly.
Eanna Lyons and Cha Dwyer return to the Laois starting line-up and inter-county setup while Clough-Ballacolla's Jordan Walshe starts at half-back after having an impressive season en route to his side capturing the Bob O'Keefe Cup.
