Well known Portlaoise businessman takes over reins at Laois Chamber
CEO of Midland Steel Reinforcement Supplies, Tony Woods appointed president of Laois Chamber Alliance
A well known Portlaoise businessman has taken over the reins of Laois Chamber Alliance having been appointed its new president.
CEO of Midland Steel Reinforcement Supplies, Tony Woods was appointed President at the Alliance's Annual General Meeting held in Abbeyleix Manor Hotel. Mr Woods takes over from Dr. Michelle Byrne, Marlborough Family Practice.
"Tony brings his experience as a business leader and his commitment to the continued growth of Laois to the role," said the Alliance.
Sean Comer of the Midlands Park Hotel and Ger Mulhall of Supervalu also joined the board on the night.
"The AGM was an opportunity to reflect on the Chamber’s work, share our plans and hear from members. Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed. We look forward to working with Tony, our Board and our members in the year ahead," they added.
"We would like to take this opportunity to thank Valerie O Connell and Gillian Reidy for the last three years of their tenure on the board. They both brought such passion and dedication to Laois Chamber Alliance. Dr. Michelle Byrne is staying on as past President to support the board going forward."
