Laois GAA U-20 hurling panel announced for 2025 Leinster Championship

Laois U-20 Hurling manager Derek Delaney has revealed his starting 15 and substitutes for Saturday afternoon's opening game in the Leinster Championship against Galway. He has also named his 39-player panel and his captain for the year ahead.

Laois will face Galway in the opening round of Tier 1 of the championship. They are competing in Tier 1 by virtue of the fact that they reached the 2022 Minor final, where they lost to Offaly. It's Laois' neighbours, who join them in Group 1. Their Midlands derby will take place in Tullamore on Saturday, April 12.

Castletown's Rory Kelly has been honoured with the county captaincy. He has named at corner-back for the game against Galway which takes place today (Saturday, March 29).

Laois' starting 15 and substitutes for the Galway game is as follows; Brochan O’Reilly (Portlaoise); Rory Kelly (C) (Castletown), Ciaran Flynn (The Harps), Oran Gorman (Rosenallis); Cormac Hogan (Clough-Ballacolla), Tom Cuddy (Camross), Joseph Pearson (Clough-Ballacolla); Eoghan Cuddy (Camross), Kevin Byrne (Camross); Cormac Byrne (Abbeyleix), Ben Deegan (Camross), Evan Cassin (Clough-Ballacolla); Rick Bannon (Camross), Jer Quinlan (Borris-Kilcotton), Ruaidhri Kavanagh (Trumera). Subs: Peter Rafter (Clough-Ballacolla), Justin Duggan (The Harps), Mark Downey (The Harps), Ryan Peters (Castletown), Cian Hill (Mountrath), Andrew McDonagh (Ballinakill), Kevin Hyland (Clough-Ballacolla), Conor Mortimer (Camross), Kyron Cuddy (Castletown)
