The Laois GAA Club Hurling Championships reached a crucial stage over the weekend. In the Senior grade, Clough-Ballacolla and Rathdowney-Errill advanced straight to the semi-finals, while Ballinakill v Rosenallis and Camross v Borris-Kilcotton will contest the quarter-finals. The PIHC and IHC are both down to the last four, though Rathdowney-Errill’s 10-point win over Colt-Shanahoe must be replayed after an early full-time whistle. Elsewhere, Ballinakill claimed the Junior B title, with Portlaoise set to face Clough-Ballacolla in the Junior final. Photographer Denis Byrne took pictures for the Leinster Express/ Laois Live.
