Ballyfin GAA Club’s popular 6km walk/run returns this January, offering runners and walkers a chance to explore the beautiful Ballyfin Demesne.
The popular fundraising event will take place on Sunday, January 25, with participants once again invited to enjoy the scenic routes through the renowned private estate at the foot of the Slieve Bloom Mountains. The event will begin at 11am, with registration numbers available from 10am, and participants are advised to arrive early.
“We’re delighted to announce that our annual 6k walk/run through the beautiful grounds of Ballyfin Demesne is back and will take place on Sunday, January 25,” Ballyfin GAA said.

The club are encouraging participants to register and pay online in advance, which they say will help streamline registration on the morning of the event, while walk-up entries will also be accommodated.
“This year we are asking everyone, where possible, to register and pay online in advance, which will give us a better idea of numbers taking part and will make the entry process on the day much faster,” the club added.
All participants who purchase a ticket will automatically be entered into a draw for an evening meal for two at Ballyfin Demesne Hotel, kindly sponsored by the hotel. The draw will take place at 12 noon on the day of the event.
