The Swan NS proved too strong for Mayo NS in this boys Division 8 clash in O'Moore Park last Tuesday afternoon.

The teams looked to be closely matched in the early stages of the game, with Mayo taking an early lead thanks to a fine point from Peter Grogan in the first minute.

Jeremy Kelly responded for The Swan with a point to level things up, and they were the only scores of the opening ten minutes. The only other action of note was a stunning save from Mayo 'keeper Kyle Kehoe, as palmed away a shot from Jack Gorman when The Swan player tried to lob him.

The closing minutes of the first half was what won the game for The Swan, as Jeremy Kelly struck for two goals and Jack Gorman added two points, and they lead 2-3 to 0-1 at the break.

Callum Hogg and Gorman added two more goals early in the second half to keep The Swan well on top, although Fionn O'Sullivan hit back with a goal for Mayo.

Jack Doyle and Charlie Crehan then exchanged goals before Grogan got another goal for Mayo as they kept battling right to the end.

However, The Swan had the final say thanks to a strong finish, as Jack Gorman pounced for two goals in the last minute to wrap up a well deserved win for his team.
