The Volkswagen driver was stopped by Laois gardaí
Gardaí said a motorist drove towards a garda car on the wrong side of the road at Portlaoise Plaza.
Laois Gardaí posted an image of the Volkswagen car they stopped after it drove towards them in Portlaoise.
“Laois RPU patrolling the Portlaoise Plaza last night met this vehicle with illegally tinted number plates coming against them on the wrong side of the road. The driver was stopped and issued a fine and penalty points.”
The driver was one of two who had a run in with gardaí on the roads in Laois yesterday. An Audi driver was also stopped after turning from a checkpoint.
