Aftermath of a previous storm in Laois
Council staff are working to clear fallen trees after Storm Debi passed over Laois.
Fallen trees are being cleared in Portarlington, Rathdowney and Durrow following the storm.
The ESB are continuing to work to restore power to homes following outages and have reconnected hundreds of homes in Laois this morning.
The largest power cut was in Mountrath, where just after 6am two faults left 1,372 customers without power.
ESB Networks restored power to the properties shortly after 9am.
ESB networks are busy working to restore power to homes across the country as a result of Storm Debi. It has cause delays to road, rail and power networks nationwide.
Met Eireann has now downgraded the wind warning in Laois to a status yellow.
It is warning people that travelling conditions remain hazardous.

Many schools across the county are now reopening, having deferred their opening hours to allow the storm to pass.
