Laois County Council has published a tender seeking a consultant to carry out work to energy retrofit social housing across the county.
The contract, which is valued at €140,000, runs for a two year period.
Retrofitting of homes involves carrying out work to improve the building’s insulation or heating systems to improve its energy efficiency.
The benefits are that it is easier to heat all rooms in a house, there is improved comfort through greater insulation and outdoor air quality is improved, benefiting the community’s health.
The deadline to make an application through eTenders is March 8, 2024.
