Welcoming the news Sean Fleming TD, Minister of State said: "This school project went to tender a number of months ago and I have been in contact with the Minister to ensure that approval was given to the school to appoint a contractor to carry out the works.

"It is great news for the school that this approval has now been granted.

"I want to acknowledge the great work by the Principal, Board of Management, teaching and other staff, parents and the entire school community for their work in respect of this new Special Educational Needs unit.
