A hair salon founded by a woman from Clonaslee, has bagged not one but two awards at an event in Cork recently.

Laois woman AnnMaire Comerford set up Cheveux Hair Salon in 2011 and the team has grown to 24 staff.

The business won the award for Best Hair Salon Lenister 2024 and their trichologist Michelle Christle from Rosenallis won Best Hair Educator 2024.

The team travelled to Cork on Sunday, March 24 to receive their  Hi style Passoa awards.

The stylists at Cheveux Hair Salon, based in Tullamore, provide a wide range of services from hair colour and highlights to extensions and wedding up styles.

Situated on the first floor of Cheveux Hair Salon is a new  ‘National Hair Loss and Scalp Clinic’, which provides services to Oncology patients and clients suffering with hair loss and scalp related issues with an in house Trichologist specialist.

"For clients experiencing hair loss, our  trichologist Michelle Christle approaches each situation with empathy and expertise, offering personalized solutions that cater to their specific concerns," explained AnnMaire.

"Whether it's recommending high-quality wigs, customizing hairpieces, or providing scalp treatments to promote healthy hair growth, we strive to empower our clients and restore their sense of beauty and confidence. We contribute by providing bespoke semi permanent hair pieces, which are not available in Leinster, filling that market niche that is much needed."
