Portlaoise artist Paddy Critchley has been sharing his many talents through this year's adult summer arts programme in the Malthouse in Stradbally.
The four-day programme entitled Staidéar Neamhbheo Still Life: working from life is run by Laois County Council Arts Office and the Laois Arthouse.
Between Tuesday, July 2 and Friday, July 5 Paddy has shared his work methods and experience to assist and guide the students. The focus was on a series of still life workshops in which they drew from still life compositions curated by Paddy, and progressed to making acrylic paintings.
The week concludes with an exhibition opening of Paddy’s work and selected work of the participants also entitled Staidéar Neamhbheo Still Life at the Laois Arthouse, Stradbally on Friday evening, July 5 at 6pm. All are welcome to attend the exhibition opening. The exhibition will remain open until July 26.
