A section road has closed following a serious crash in the midlands this morning.
A section of the R402 road near Edenderry Rugby Club at Coolavacoose has been closed off while emergency services deal with the crash near the Offaly Kildare border.
The Leinster Express/Laois Live understands a bus was involved in the collision which was serious.
“Gardaí are currently at the scene of a road traffic collision at Carbury, Co Kildare, this morning, Friday 12th December 2025.
The R402 at Kishawanny Road junction is currently closed with local diversions in place. No further information is available at this time,” gardaí said in a statement this morning.
Diversions are in place and traffic is being redirected.
