Flooding closes Laois road

A road has been closed in Laois due to flooding. 

“Laois County Council wishes to advise that the Leighlin Road L-3920 at Lanigan's Lock has been closed due to flooding. Please use an alternative route until further notice,” the Council advised. 

The closure comes as Laois County Council advises people to be cautious when out and about during Storm Chandra. 

A Status Yellow Wind Warning is in place in Laois until 11pm tonight.

Met Eireann is warning of hazardous travel conditions, fallen trees and loose debris and motorists are advised to take care on the roads.
