Laois charity shop manager 'speechless' after schoolgirl's generousity

‘We were speechless. We had no idea. She came in with a cup full of money. It was incredible,’ said Manager Sinéad Moore
The manager of the St Vincent de Paul shop in Stradbally was left speechless by the generous actions of a young schoolgirl.
St Vincent de Paul in Stradbally has paid tribute to schoolgirl Ada Maher who generously raised funds by baking cakes to sell on the street during the Electric Picnic music and arts festival.
“A huge thank you to Ada Maher, who baked some delicious treats and sold them during Electric Picnic, raising €50 for SVP Stradbally,” St Vincent de Paul Stradbally said on their social media.
“We’re so grateful for her kindness and generosity. Ada is pictured presenting the €50 donation to Sinéad and Mary at SVP Stradbally. Thank you so much, Ada!”.
Store Manager Sinéad Moore said she was left “speechless” following the generous actions of the young girl.
“We were speechless. We had no idea. She came in with a cup full of money. It was incredible,” Sinéad said.
“She did the baking herself and she sold it outside her grannies house,” Sinéad revealed.
“She just took it upon herself to do it and she turned up with the money,” she explained.
Sinéad said Ada’s granny Breeda Maher was the former Manager of the shop on the Main Street in Stradbally.
Sinéad said Ada’s parents Colm and Anne Marie should be very proud of their daughter.
