County Hall Portlaoise
The engineering staff at County Hall have pledged to improve visibility at a Ballacolla junction - a commitment welcomed as ‘great news’ by Cllr Ollie Clooney.
He received the promise of safety measures at Park Cross from Edmond Kenny, District Engineer for south and west Laois.
“Topographical surveys have been completed at this junction and design drawings are currently being prepared. It is proposed that modifications to the junction to achieve enhanced visibility will be undertaken in 2023,” said Mr Kenny.
The Independent councillor replied: “That’s great news”.
He raised the issue at the recent Borris-in-Ossory Mountmellick Municipal District meeting.
