A learner driver was given a lesson they’re unlikely to forget after being stopped by Gardai in Laois.
The motorist was stopped for speeding after being clocked doing 128kph in a 100km zone.
“Laois Roads Policing Unit while conducting a speed check on the N78 near pedigree corner today stopped this vehicle after it was detected travelling at 128kph in a 100kph zone in wet weather conditions,” gardai said.
“The driver was a Learner Permit holder who was driving unaccompanied and without L-Plates displayed. The vehicle was seized and fixed charge notices issued,” Gardai said.
