Disgusting images of illegal dumping have been shared by Circle K Abbeyleix on social media, following repeated incidents of dumping at the location.
The shop took to Facebook in a post on Thursday September 12, expressing their frustration at the situation.
"Please do not dump at the bottle bank this is a household bin just dumped for some else to clean this is not the purpose of the bottle bank it is not here for household purposes if bank is full bring your rubbish home do not leave it come back when the bottle bank has been emptied,” the post said.

“It’s a fairly regular occurrence unfortunately,” a manager at the shop explained.
“It’s a bottle bank, so people just assume and throw their rubbish there. The whole bin was just left there. We have to go out and clean it up, which is very frustrating,” they said.
Laois County Council own and oversee the bottle bank area, with CCTV installed.
“The council are very good and do clean it when we get on to them about the dumping,” the manager said.
“Obviously for something like this, we won’t ring the council to come out to just lift the rubbish, we take care of it ourselves.”
“It’s an awful thing but it’s happening everywhere,” they finished.
