The 2023 Laois Rose Cullohill's Sinead Dowd
Former Laois Rose of Tralee Sinead Dowd, who lives in Culohill, is looking forward to enjoying the simple things in life in 2025.
“After spending time in Vietnam, I’ve come to deeply appreciate the beauty of simplicity in everyday life. In a world that often feels overwhelmingly busy and complex, I’ve learned that some of the most fulfilling moments are the simplest ones—whether it’s savoring a bowl of pho at a local street stall, watching the sun set over the rice paddies, or just sitting quietly by a river with nothing but the sound of birds around me,” said the 2023 Laois Rose of Tralee.
"As I step into the new year, my resolution is to carry this sense of gratitude for life’s simplicity with me. I want to be more present in the small moments, to slow down, and to remember that happiness doesn’t always come from chasing big dreams or possessions. It’s often found in the quiet corners of life: a conversation with a friend, the warmth of a cup of Barry’s tea, or the joy of a shared smile. I want to reconnect with the slower pace of life and let go of the constant rush and need for more. This
year, I resolve to appreciate the beauty of simplicity, find peace in the ordinary, and cultivate gratitude for the little things that make life truly rich.”
