Road safety works carried out in Laois after number of incidents

Laois Councillor Conor Bergin paves the way with new road safety improvements

New road safety improvements and junction realignment works were recently carried out at Cuddagh (Kirwan's) Cross in Castletown

The works were carried out as part of Councillor Conor Bergin's motion to the Laois County Council, last year. 

Road surfacing, new signage, and new road markings and realignments have now been completed, as seen below.

Taking to social media, Cllr Bergin welcomed these new upgrades, saying, "It is hoped that these works will make the junction safer for motorists, following a number of incidents in the past. I am pleased to see that these working, having finally been carried out."
