The dynamic duo - Alf Harvey and Jim Fennelly
Photographer Jim Fennelly from Abbeyleix will appear on RTÉ's Nationwide alongside reporter Mary Fanning on Friday night, 21 February.
The episode will look at Jim's inspirational career as a photographer following a major accident 17 years ago which left him without the use of his legs. The Abbeyleix man refused to give up and instead adjusted his life with the help of renowned press photographer Alf Harvey.
The dynamic duo, Jim and Alf, are well known for covering local and national events such as Electric Picnic and the National Ploughing Championships.

Jim is now an award-winning photographer who uses a specially adapted wheelchair and van for mobility. The well respected photographer captures the heart of Irish life in the Midlands.
The local photographer was filmed by Fanning for the show while out and about in Laois earlier this year. Fanning also interviews Jim about his attitude towards life and what propelled him to continue after the accident.
Alf Harvey, who encouraged Jim and passed on his photography skills, also features in the show.
Jim is heavily involved with the Laois Pony Club and the club's members talk to Fanning about Jim and the highly respected role he plays in the club. The Field Equestrian Centre just outside Athy will also feature in the episode where owner Robert Owens speaks about the community's admiration for the photographer and his dedication to capturing memories.
The Nationwide crew also follow him to Stradbally Hall for a shoot during dreadful weather!
Mary Fanning said: "Jim Fennelly is an inspiration to all who meet him, a joy to work with and a consummate professional who fought back, refused to give up and became known as the 'Snapper on Wheels!'"
The programme will air at 7pm on Friday, 21 February. It will also be repeated on RTÉ+ 1 at 8pm and air again on the news channel at the weekend and on RTÉ 1 on Sunday morning.
