Laois town sees official launch of this year's big Tractor and Truck Run

People gathered on Thursday evening for the official launch of the run, coming together to mark the beginning of this year’s fundraising efforts.

The Fisherstown Tractor and Truck Run returns on Sunday, July 6 at the Final Furlong in Ballybrittas.

Tractors, trucks, and vintage cars are all welcome to take part in what is sure to be a fantastic day.

"This year, we are proud to announce that all proceeds will be donated to the Head and Neck Oncology Clinics at St James’s Hospital, supporting vital care and services," a spokesperson said.

"We look forward to seeing the community come together for a worthy cause and an unforgettable event."

Last year, the Tractor and Truck run raised an incredible €52,000 for a local cancer charity, which they attribute to the amazing support from our community.

The Fishertown Tractor & Truck Run was established in 2008 by local men aiming to raise funds for a local cancer charity.

The day promises music on the night from Big Generator at the Final Furlong, fantastic food, a bouncy castle and a fun area for kids.
