Pictured: Litter and bonfires abandoned on the Laois mountain
A Laois community page on social media has slammed recent incidents of littering in the Slieve Bloom Mountains.
The Rosenallis Facebook page has alleged that old stone walls have been damaged locally by hikers pulling out stones to build bonfires.
Photos were shared to social media of the incidents.

According to Coillte, camp fires are only permitted on the Slieve Blooms where fire rings are provided, and must only utilise dead branches and material.
Coillte have also ruled that when wild camping, campsites must be left as they were found, 'or better'.
"The Leave no trace initiative is widely encouraged when visiting the Slieve Bloom Mountains," the Rosenallis page shared.
"It's so disappointing when hiking in nature that you find people have not removed their waste and have damaged old walls to make bonfires.
"Please just think before you go, bring home your belongings and waste. Fires are not permitted due to the recent dry weather," they asked.

"Please leave the area as you found it!" the post finished.
