Top prize for Laois gardener at Tullamore Show

Well known Durrow gardener Martin Lawlor took home a top prize for his greenfingers at this year's Tullamore Show. The former notes correspondent for the Leinster Express won 1st place in the Best Exhibit in the Dahlia Section.

He was presented with his prize by John Donoghue, Tullamore Show Horticulture organiser and judge, Breda Condron at the Tullamore Show and FBD National Livestock Show which took place on Sunday, August 10. Martin is the son of the late Harold Lawlor, a legendary gardener, famed champion vegetable grower, competition judge and horticultural advisor.
