Charlie Flanagan is Foreign Affairs Minister

Charlie Flanagan has been appointed as Minister for Foreign Affairs, in the cabinet reshuffle announced this lunchtime.

Charlie Flanagan has been appointed as Minister for Foreign Affairs, in the cabinet reshuffle announced this lunchtime.

The appointment comes a mere two months after Deputy Flanagan was first appointed to the cabinet as Minister for Children and Youth affairs, in May.

He replaces Eamon Gilmore in the Foreign Affairs portfolio, while former Health Minister, James Reilly moves to the Department of Children.
