Laois Roads Policing Unit is continuing to target noisy cars which it branded ‘bangers’.
“Over the Bank Holiday weekend, Laois RPU checked the noise levels of a number of vehicles,” Gardaí said in an online post.
The noise level checks follow a similar operation conducted by Gardaí in Portlaoise in mid January.
“If your exhaust announces you from two junctions away, the result isn’t exactly a plot twist.
Fines issued. Penalty points added. Volume adjusted… the hard way.” Gardai stated.
