Surface scenic Laois road council told

A road on one of the most scenic Laois locations needs a new surface, the county’s local authority has been told.

Cllr Ollie Clooney, Independent, tabled a motion at a recent meeting with Laois County Council calling for the road on Cullohill Mountain for resurfacing in the 2023 programme”

Mr. Edmond Kenny, District Engineer, replied in writing. 

He said repairs will be undertaken and an application to resurface the cul de sac could be considered under a Community Involvement Scheme.

Cllr Clooney welcomed the commitment given after he raised the issue at the December meeting of the Borris-in-Ossory Mountmellick Municipal District in County Hall Portlaoise.
