Plans drawn up for 43 new houses in Laois town

Plans have been drawn up for a large housing development in Mountmellick. 

Kilkenny Investment Property Holdings Limited have announced their intention to construct 43 houses at Ballencullenbeg, off Grange Hall in Mountmellick

The proposed development consists of 24 two storey semi detached three bed houses, six two storey semi detached four bed houses, two two storey mid terrace two bedroom houses, two two storey three bedroom end of terrace houses, five two storey mid terrace two bedroom dormer bungalows and four two storey end of terrace two bedroom bungalows. 

“Permission is also sought for the removal of a section of the existing boundary screen wall, creation of a new entrance road, vehicular and pedestrian entrances and related footpaths onto Grange Hall, together with the installation of all necessary and associated site works, to include watermain, foul and surface water networks,  1 No.  foul pump station, and all other necessary infrastructure, landscape and associated site works related to the development, located at Ballycullenbeg, off Grange Hall, Mountmellick, Co. Laois,” the planning notice states. 

A Natura Impact Statement (NIS) has been prepared for submission with the planning application. 

Kilkenny Investment Property Holdings Limited said submissions and observations can be made within five weeks of the plans being lodged with Laois County Council.
