Time to catch up on years of work on Laois town lane

Roadworks in operation so expect delays today and for the next few days

A road that hasn’t be surfaced in years in Mountmellick needs work, according to a councillor.

Cllr Paddy Bracken, Fiann Fáil, called on Laois County Council to re-surface the road at Chapel Lane off Chapel Street.

“Nothing has been done with it in years,” Cllr Bracken told at the Borris-in-Ossory Mountmellick Municipal District meeting.

Mr. Edmond Kenny, District Engineer, replied that the council would arrange to meet the elected member at the site to inspect the lane and prepare costings to resurface the lane.
