A man has been arrested after trying to sell a stolen iPad to an off-duty Garda.
Kevin Street Gardaí posted about the incident on social media (X, formerly known as Twitter) to seek out the owner of the stolen device.
They later thanked "the at-home detectives" for recognising an image saved on the device's lock screen as the logo of a local bar and restaurant, Peruke and Periwig.
In a comment on X, they stated, "Impressive work! We will make contact with [Peruke and Periwig] this morning to return the iPad."
Little did this person know he was speaking to an off-duty Garda tonight when trying to sell them this stolen iPad.
