Man arrested after drugs worth an estimated 6.4m euro at Rosslare Europort

A man has been arrested following the seizure of drugs worth an estimated 6.4 million euro at Rosslare Europort.

The haul, including cocaine, cannabis and herbal cannabis, was discovered within a load when an accompanied freight unit which had earlier disembarked a ferry from Dunkirk, France, was stopped and searched.

A man in his 40s was arrested by gardai and detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at a Garda Station in County Wexford.

A Garda spokesperson said investigations are ongoing.
