Lorcan Meehan has been located 'safe and well'
A teenage boy who was at the centre of a missing persons appeal has been located safe and well, gardai have confirmed.
The appeal for assistance was issued on Saturday afternoon - hours after 16-year-old Lorcan Meehan from Kimmage in Dublin was last seen.
At the time, gardai said both they and Lorcan's family were concerned for his safety and wellbeing.
However, in an update issued on Sunday evening, they confirmed the teenager has since been located.
"Lorcan Meehan has been located safe and well. No further media action is required. An Garda Síochána would like to thank the media and the public for their assistance," said a spokesperson.
No details relating to the circumstances of him being located have been disclosed publicly.
