A motorcyclist was clocked going 68km/h above the legal speed limit by gardaí on the M50 recently.
According to An Garda Síochána, officers attached to the Roads Policing Unit detected the car travelling at 167km/h in a 100km/h zone on the M50 in Dublin.
In a statement posted on their official X (formerly Twitter) page, a Garda spokesperson stated: "Our Roads Policing Unit in Terenure, South Dublin were out on the M50 checking speed. This motorcyclist was stopped for travelling at 168kp/h. That’s 68kp/h above the speed limit.
"Crazy stuff!"
