A Lotto player in Sligo finished the month of August with plenty to celebrate after matching five numbers and the bonus in Saturday night’s draw to win €45,347.

The weekend winner purchased their winning Quick Pick ticket on the day of the draw at LIDL Finisklin on the Finisklin Road in Sligo.

The winning Lotto draw numbers on Saturday 31st August were: 05, 14, 15, 29, 38, 43 and the bonus was 17.

The Sligo winner is advised to sign the back of their ticket and keep it safe. They should make contact with the National Lottery prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to collect their prize at Lottery Headquarters.

As there was no winner of the €3,060,603 jackpot on offer in last night’s draw, Wednesday’s jackpot is now set to roll towards an estimated €3.5 million.

National Lottery spokesperson Sarah Orr urged Lotto players in Sligo to carefully check their tickets from the Saturday night draw: “This weekend’s draw saw over 78,000 players nationwide win prizes across the Lotto and Lotto Plus games with a player in Sligo taking the title of biggest winner of the night.

"The Sligo player scooped €45,347 after matching five numbers and the bonus in the main draw. We are encouraging all of our players who may have purchased their tickets on the day of the draw at Lidl Finisklin to carefully check them today as one person now has a Quick Pick ticket worth €45,347.

“There was no winner of the jackpot in Saturday’s draw which means Wednesday’s jackpot is now set to roll towards an estimated €3.5 million. Players dreaming of becoming the first Lotto jackpot winner of September are advised that tickets can be purchased in-store, through our app and at www.lottery.ie ahead of the 7.45pm cut-off time for sales on Wednesday evening.”
