A Garda member has been injured following a hit-and-run incident in Dublin.
A Garda spokesperson said they had responded to a report of an e-bike causing a disturbance in Porterstown Park, Dublin, on Friday.
The spokesperson said: “At approximately 2.30pm, a male Garda approached two males on the e-bike directing them to dismount.
“The e-bike then accelerated striking the Garda who was taken to hospital and subsequently discharged following treatment for non life-threatening injuries.
“The driver and passenger of the e-bike failed to remain at the scene.”
Gardai are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
Any road users who may have camera footage is asked to make this footage available to investigating gardai.
Earlier this month, Garda member Kevin Flatley died after he was struck by a motorcycle at a speed checkpoint in Co Dublin.
