An investigation has been launched into the alleged assault of a teenage girl in Dublin by five other juveniles.
The five minors were arrested in connection with the investigation on Tuesday and interviewed by specialist Garda child interviewers.

It's understood the victim, a teenage girl, had travelled to Dublin city with a friend recently and met up with the suspects before subsequently being allegedly sexually attacked.
In statement, Gardaí said,
"An Garda Síochána continues to investigate an alleged assault on a female.

"On January 20 2026, 5 arrests were made in respect of this allegation.
"All 5 persons arrested and detained were questioned in respect of the alleged offence and have been released without charge, pending a file to the DPP."
