A Wexford driver will now face court after their vehicle was found to be seriously defective.
On Monday, February 2, members of the Gorey Roads Policing Unit stopped a car in the Enniscorthy area whilst on patrol.
Upon being pulled over, the vehicle was initially found to have no insurance and no valid motor tax. The NCT had also expired in 2024.

However, a further examination of the car by gardaí revealed a number of serious defects. These included illegally tinted windows and illegal registration plates as well as the vehicle having no exhaust or functioning handbrake.
Following these discoveries, the car was seized.
The driver did pass a roadside alcohol and drug test but now faces a number of Fixed Charge Penalty Notices. They will also be appearing before the courts.
