A disqualified and drugged up driver has been caught driving in a Laois town for the second time in just three months.
The same Toyota Hilux white pick-up was stopped by a Laois Garda Roads Policing Unit on Sunday, March 15, having previously been caught last January for similar offences.
The Gardaí again used their latest tech, an ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition scanner) to instantly discover that the driver was already disqualified.
The driver was then stopped and given a roadside drug test which returned positive for Cannabis and Cocaine, a similar result to January.
Calling it "deja vu", the Laois Offaly Garda division confirm that the driver was once again arrested, and will again face court proceedings.

The vehicle was once again seized.
Last January, the driver gave false details when stopped. They were already serving both court and penalty points disqualifications.
