De Brún's at Hume's issues temporary closure notice
A busy Laois pub on Portlaoise Main Street has closed down temporarily.
Stapo Brown's pub De Brúns at Humes, is closed down for renovations, but only for one week.
The popular pub and live music venue is shut from Monday, March 23, reopening on Friday, March 27 at 10am.
It is getting a big carpentry makeover inside.
The Laois business issued a notice online.
"We are temporarily closed. Monday 23rd - Thursday 26th (inclusive) to accommodate a brand spanking new refurbishment of our front bar.

"We need to let the tradesmen do their magic, so we will need to close our doors for a few days. Don't worry, we are back open on Friday, March 27th at 10am.
"More works to follow over the coming weeks. We will keep you all posted. Bigger and better things to come. Apologies for the inconvenience," De Brúns at Humes says.
