Local link services make adjustments to timetables for August Bank Holiday
The TFI Local Link for Laois and Offaly have made amendments to their schedule to accommodate the August Bank Holiday weekend.
The transport service has announced that there will be changes to some of the Regular Rural Services (RRS) on the Bank Holiday Monday, August 4.
The 806 from Portarlington to Monasterevin, the 815 from Tullamore to Athlone, the 834 from Roscrea to Portlaoise and the 850 from Athlone to Roscrea will all run according to the regular Monday timetable.
The 822 from Mountrath to Carlow, the 823 from Birr to Portlaoise, the 840 from Banagher to Tullamore and the 858 from Thurles to Portlaoise will run to the regular Sunday timetable.
Door to door services will not operate on Monday. On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, timetables will run as normal.
TFI runs 12 regular Local Link services in Laois and Offaly, with 20 services available during school and university terms.
Gardaí have announced their regular Bank Holiday road safety appeal in conjunction with the RSA, with an increase of checkpoints on Laois roads.
